We can only ship to those states specifically listed here and only ship via UPS. An adult (21+) signature is required at the time of delivery. Once we ship a package, we no longer have the means to redirect it or make changes to the delivery schedule. Please note that additional shipping fees will be incurred for returns and reshipments, so we highly recommend exploring one of the options in the ‘Tips’ section below.

UPS has recently introduced a change to how shipments of adult beverage products are handled after the first missed delivery attempt. After one missed delivery attempt, UPS will redirect the shipment to a nearby UPS Access Point, such as a UPS Store, rather than re-attempting delivery the next day. The package is held for customer pick up at the Access Point for up to 7 days at no charge. If it isn’t picked up within that window, it will be returned to us at the customer’s expense.

This change means products spend less time on delivery trucks between attempts and reduces extreme weather condition exposure and handling. It also gives you more flexibility – you can pick up on your own schedule rather than waiting on another delivery window. We think that this change will facilitate delivery for those who cannot be home during the day to sign for packages.

If no Access Point is available nearby, UPS will continue standard delivery attempts and return the package after a third missed attempt. Please note that after the third failed delivery attempt the customer is responsible for the shipping cost to return any undeliverable packages.

Tips:

If an adult 21+ years of age will not be home during the delivery window or if you are concerned about extreme temperatures, you may elect at checkout or in your shipping profile to have your wine shipped to a UPS Access Point or UPS Store near you or to a friend or neighbor’s house and pick it up there. If your workplace allows you to receive shipments of this type, then that may also be an option.

We may also contact you if we feel that we need to hold your shipment due to extreme weather conditions. Our goal is to make sure that your wines arrive safely, and we do not want to risk damage due to extreme cold or heat. Note that electing to have your shipment delivered to a UPS Location may be a good option if you are concerned about extreme weather conditions. Having your package delivered to a UPS location will ensure that it is signed for the first time and likely stored in a climate controlled environment until you pick it up. This could minimize the time your wine is exposed to temperature fluctuations and may be a slightly less expensive shipping option.

Note that most UPS Ground shipments will be received within 2-3 business days from the ship date if you are on the East Coast, but please plan to allow at least 5 days and possibly longer if you are West of the Rockies or during periods of inclement weather. If you need your wine sooner, please select the expedited shipping method that best aligns with your needs.

Yes – bottle shock is a real, albeit temporary phenomenon, and we recommend that you wait at least 1-2 weeks and possibly a bit longer before opening your wines, depending on how far they traveled. Note that while this condition can happen, it does not necessarily mean that it will happen in every case. We winemakers exercise a lot of care to bottle our wines and patiently let them rest before releasing them.

Sometimes, excessive vibration and rapid fluctuations in temperature can ‘reverse’ this aging process and as a result, the wine may be muted or ‘closed off’. This condition is reversible with a little time at rest in your home, preferably in a cool and dark location.
